They report over 40,000 soldiers rotate through the Fort Bragg unit on a
continual basis. 65,000 military personnel are currently stationed at this base.
This is the hot spot for war-ready operatives. We were invited to perform
continual entertainment shows at Fort Bragg. Soldiers here are either being
deployed “to war” or being debriefed “from war.” For soldiers headed “to
war” it could be the last chance they get! For soldiers headed home to their
loved ones, they could go with a real sense of how to conquer the enemy that has
been destroying the family for over 2000 years. OSU Tour plans on getting them
in fit-shape and battle-ready for a different kind of enemy.
About Fort Bragg
Known as the "Home of the Airborne and Special Operations Forces". Fort Bragg houses the 82nd Airborne Division and the XVIII Airborne Corps. The U.S. Army Special Operations Command and the U.S. Army Parachute Team (the Golden Knights) also call Fort Bragg home. Fort Bragg units include the 1st Corps Support Command, 44th Medical Command, XVIII Airborne Corps Artillery, 18th Aviation Brigade, 35th Signal Brigade, and more. Neighboring Fort Bragg is Pope Air Force Base. There are a lot of supporting units that provide the XVIII Airborne Corps and Fort Bragg rapid deployment force with support of any type, to include: rigging, maintenance, networking, medical, transportation, and many other types of support.
Over the past two years the XVIII Airborne Corps has deployed countless Corps soldiers to more than twenty-seven countries throughout the world, including, Bosnia, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and Haiti. In a few short years the XVIII Airborne Corps has either conducted, participated in, or been the exercise director for over 79 exercises, to include, 25 Joint Exercises involving all of the services. The Corps recently completed Purple Dragon, one of the most successful and largest Joint Task Force exercises in XVIII Airborne Corps history, consisting of 33,000 sailors, marines, airmen, and soldiers.
The XVIII Airborne Corps is superbly trained in tactical operational and strategic levels of war and is capable of exercising the nation's ability to conduct strategic forced entry operations, any where in the world on 18 hours notice. They have been widely recognized as a superbly trained force capable of operating from peace operations to general-purpose war and capable of conducting large-scale joint and combined operations.
The OSU Tour will go wherever our troops are stationed - impacting Australian, and Canadian with the gospel of Jesus Christ. U.S. Marines prepare to off load 48 Humvees at Rockhampton, Australia, for an exercise involving more than 18,000 U.S., Australian, and Canadian personnel.
We'll be holding entertainment shows for these Soldiers of the U.S. Army's 82nd Airborne Division whose duties include, airdrops, aerial refueling, aircraft navigation, special tactics, short field landings, cargo loading, engine running on and off load, aeromedical evacuations and security forces operations involving more than 80 aircraft and 100 teams from 17 countries. The 82nd is based at Fort Bragg, N.C.
